Nate & Caylee are just two people who exude happiness & joy. They love really love their people & really love each other. Their commitment to honoring God, each other and all of their loved ones on their wedding day just showed up over and over again. Caylee is one of those brides who has been thinking about her wedding day since she was a little girl. She had this entire day planned in her head before it even came to fruition and she was going to execute it perfectly. She told me when they toured Sycamore Creek Ranch that the barn and everything was pretty. What really convinced her was the giant 200 year old sycamore tree at the end of the aisle. She immediately knew this is where she wanted to get married. She had always dreamed of a garden type wedding and the tree plus the gorgeous landscaping, benches and hills surrounding the venue was everything she wanted.

Their wedding was on a super warm (& rainy) day at the end of May. The sun was bright in the sky for the majority of the day until like 15 minutes before their ceremony, then a big storm front moved in and it poured. Everyone who was already sitting ran up the hill inside, somehow the flowers stayed in place perfectly?? Caylee almost caved and moved the ceremony inside but I told her to just wait a few more minutes and see if the rain passes. I told her even if she wants to get married in the rain, I would still be there with my camera ready to go! Fortunately, she decided to wait it out and the sky opened right back up. The sun came out and she got her dreamy sunny wedding ceremony she had been dreaming of. They had the best vendor team that really just worked with the weather and did whatever we could to make them happy!

The weather stayed good long enough for the family portraits, reception to start & dinner. We had golden hour portraits queued up and just when the sunset time hit, it started pouring and storming outside again. Instead of being sad, they just turned up their favorite songs and danced their sorrows away. & I mean it, they danced for like 4 hours it was truly impressive! They had good food, good desserts and a great time at their reception. They finished the night with a sparkle light & ribbon exit which was adorable. Then they hit the skies to Antigua!

I love photographing weddings Sycamore Creek Ranch because the venue is set up so well & the property is gorgeous! They are dedicated to providing a good wedding venue experience. I am heading back this week actually to redo some portraits for Nate & Caylee! We decided to find a time and schedule some golden hour portraits. Afterall, those are the pictures you really truly want on your wedding day!
