I recently had the opportunity to photograph a styled shoot at Romaine Valley before the venue hosted its very first wedding. It quickly became one of the most exciting new wedding venues I’ve visited in the St. Louis area.
As a STL wedding photographer, I’m always looking for venues that not only create an incredible experience for couples and guests but also offer beautiful spaces for an unforgettable wedding experience. WELL, Romaine Valley delivers both!

Located in Fenton, Missouri, Romaine Valley combines modern elegance with scenic outdoor spaces, creating a versatile setting for weddings throughout the year. From the moment you arrive, the property feels thoughtfully designed with couples in mind.
One of the most exciting aspects of Romaine Valley is that everything feels fresh and intentional. The venue was built to provide a seamless wedding day experience, offering dedicated spaces for getting ready, ceremonies, portraits, cocktail hour, and receptions all in one location. They also have on-site lodging which is such a huge plus. I have noticed couples wanting venues with on-site lodging more & more. Romaine Creek has 10 little cabins that are 1 or two bedrooms that you can rent for your family & friends to stay or to make it an easy entire wedding weekend celebration!

Beautiful Spaces for Every Part of Your Wedding Day
During my time at Romaine Valley, I was able to explore the property and photograph throughout the venue. Every space offers its own unique character while maintaining a cohesive and elevated feel. The venue owners Michelle and Rob really were so intentional in design. Michelle told me that Rob dreamt this place up one night, waking up literally from a dream and the next day he got to work planning which is such a God thing. Michelle was also ridiculously sweet and easy to talk to.
The getting-ready areas provide plenty of room for your wedding party and beautiful natural light for detail photos, candid moments, and those emotional final touches before the ceremony. The bridal suite is so beautiful with seating & mirrors for all of your wedding party and the HMU team! Plus anyone else like moms or close friends to hang out inside too.
The grooms space downstairs has comfy couches, a small wet bar and space for the guys to hang out and get ready without any chance of seeing the girls!
The ceremony spaces offer a stunning backdrop for exchanging vows, while the reception areas are designed to accommodate celebrations that feel both elegant and welcoming. It has a church / chapel style feel while also providing an outdoor-esc feel. The pews are gorgeous and there is also a bride staging room so your groom or guests don’t see you!! It is also right through a breezeway into the reception hall!
A Venue Built for Meaningful Celebrations
What stood out most during my visit wasn’t just the beauty of the property—it was the feeling that every detail was designed to create a memorable experience for couples and their guests. Rob may be a construction contractor but the guy really thought about every single detail a wedding venue could need. The extra large spaces, good lighting, easy flow of the property, they even heated the concrete floors?? Who thinks of that!
As a newer venue, Romaine Valley brings a fresh perspective while still offering the timeless atmosphere that so many couples are looking for. Especially bringing this type of wedding venue to Jefferson County Missouri! I can easily see this becoming a favorite venue for St. Louis-area. Perfect for couples who want an elegant setting, beautiful views, and a wedding day that flows effortlessly from beginning to end.
