Senior pictures are always more meaningful when they tell the story of the person being photographed, and Arden’s senior session was a perfect example of that. As a Branson senior photographer, I love when seniors bring something personal into their session—something that represents who they are, what they love, or a part of their life that has been important to them. For Arden, that meant bringing along his trumpet and incorporating his love of music into his fall senior portraits.
Arden has spent years playing music and has been a part of multiple orchestras, so his trumpet is much more than just an instrument. It represents hours of practice, performances, dedication, and so many memories from his high school years. When he told me he wanted to include his instruments in his senior pictures, I knew it would make his session feel personal and completely unique to him. Rather than simply taking traditional senior portraits, we were able to create images that captured both Arden as a senior and this important part of his life.

And now, Arden has started an entirely new chapter at Tulane University. It’s hard to believe how quickly senior year arrives and suddenly you’re packing up for college and stepping into the next season of life. That transition is one of the reasons I love senior sessions so much. There is so much excitement and possibility surrounding this time, and senior portraits give families a way to pause and celebrate everything that has brought their senior to this moment.
