Ravenden Springs Farm Wedding

There is a lot that I can say about this family farm wedding from June of this summer. It was hot, it was sunny, we all sweated, BUT it was probably one of my favorite weddings of the year! It is no secret that I love farm weddings. If I could photograph one type of wedding for the remainder of my career it would be farm weddings only!! Give me all of the hay barns, pews in pastures, cattle in the background, riding around on 4wheelers and getting ready in your childhood home. I cry - everytime. But this one was so so special.
I have known Megan a really long time! I was friends with her sister growing up & then last summer I photographed her proposal (check it out here!) that happened in the same exact place they got married, like almost to do geographic coordinates feet in same spot. This was Megan's grandparents farm! She grew up coming to Ravenden Springs in the summers, 4 wheeling & riding horses in this exact pasture. Her papa passed away not too long ago and she immediately knew there was no better way to have him close to her on her wedding day than to get married at his farm.
She got ready at her grandparents home with all of her closest friends + sisters, the entrance to the field was decorated with quilts her grandma had made her through the years with was SO PRECIOUS, and her family baked the most delicious homemade cookie bar I have ever experienced. Seriously, still thinking about some of these cookies!!
I appreciated the way that this wedding honored family and tradition SO MUCH, while still being everything that the couple wanted and more.
