In the Ozark Mountains...
Heritage Acres in Clarskville, Arkansas - such an amazing space to have a wedding. The beautiful rustic white barn with a stunning view of the Ozark mountains is an absolute dream for anyone that values the outdoors but still wants the full wedding experience. The reception space there is beautiful and open with good natural light and plenty of space for all of your guests. Basically a photographers dream.
Simple Details
Simplicity really never went out of style & I hope that it sticks around for 2024. When you have a venue & a view that speaks for itself, you often don't need to go over the top with large, loud florals or pops of color. Kinady & Caleb made it clear from the beginning that they were pretty simple people and they didn't want extravagant (we love when couples do but it just wasn't for them and that's ok!) The soft pinks, creams, and baby's breath in the floral pieces were one of our favorites of the year.
Embracing and Making time for Memories
I think one of the things I valued the most about this wedding day was Kinady's focus on making sure that she was creating time and space to enjoy the day. She made it clear from the first conversation that they were wanting an incredibly laid back wedding day, no stress just enjoying every moment. We had a tentative timeline but truthfully I don't know if I even remember looking at it past my arrival. We just rolled with the punches and did whatever felt right in the moment. Valuing time with each other, their wedding party & their family. It’s so important to realize that you are having your wedding day, and prioritizing the things that are important to you.
Values
Another thing I loved about these two was their love for each other & devotion to a Christ centered marriage. There were so many prayers through the day for the bride and groom individually, and together. Mid-ceremony they stopped to take communion together moments before saying their vows. It was a beautiful moment for them to share moments before becoming one and something I will definitely be hoping to see more of.
