Colorful Summer Wedding in Blue Eye, MO

A fun, summertime destination wedding at the at the Glasshaus Wedding Venue in Blue Eye, Missouri along Table Rock Lake

Some weddings are meant to be celebrated slowly.

Instead of gathering for only a few hours on Saturday, Harrison & Elizabeth planned an entire weekend at Glasshaus Weddings in Blue Eye, Missouri, welcoming their closest friends and family to the Ozarks for several days of time together, good food, and a joyful celebration overlooking Table Rock Lake.

Glasshaus is tucked into the hills just outside Branson, Missouri, offering wide lake views, modern architecture, and peaceful wooded surroundings. With its floor-to-ceiling windows and open reception spaces, the venue feels luxuriously bright and airy, while still embracing the natural beauty of the Ozarks.

For couples hoping to turn their wedding into a destination experience, it’s a place that invites guests to stay, relax, and celebrate for more than just a single day.

A Wedding Weekend with Friends and Family

Guests arrived on Friday afternoon and settled into the venue’s Tree Haus Village cabins, a collection of charming treehouse-style accommodations tucked throughout the property. With everyone staying nearby, the entire weekend felt relaxed and unrushed.

The celebrations began with a welcome dinner that evening, giving friends and family time to reconnect and settle into the weekend together. Instead of feeling like a quick reunion before the ceremony, the gathering set the tone for the days ahead — casual conversations, laughter, and the excitement of a wedding just around the corner.

Saturday brought the wedding day itself, with guests returning to Glasshaus for the ceremony and reception overlooking the lake.

Venue Breakdown

Getting Ready

The venue has a spacious getting ready suite for the girls upstairs. It has comfy seating, makeup station & a room to get into your wedding dress. The girls took the morning slow, just getting ready and enjoying each others presence! The room also offers stellar natural light!!

The Details

Elizabeth took a really simple yet luxurious approach to the details and decoration of her wedding day. She was intentional with little things like her invitation suite & homemade jam favors! She also kept it really clean and summery with her bright florals & fun table settings. We love vibrant flowers & decor colors for summer weddings!

First Look

Elizabeth & Harrison opted to do a first look – which I am in total support of couples when they choose to do this! It allowed us to prioritize getting some pictures before the ceremony and let them get some of their nerves out. We did this upstairs in the reception area! I also spent a few minutes getting solo shots of Elizabeth in her dress!

Ceremony

The ceremony was held inside due to the hot & humid summer day. They chose AC over melting haha which was the right move so their guests stayed comfortable and preserved their energy for the dance floor! The venue has a downstairs space that seated their 120 guests while allowing the reception space to stay set up!

The Reception

You can never go wrong with Mexican or Greek food at a wedding! These two entered their reception and flew right into their first day, followed by cake cutting! Getting the formalities out of the way so they could just enjoy the rest of their wedding stress free. Their DJ did a great job keeping the dance floor moving too!

Sunset Portraits

The sunset views at the venue offered a gorgeous golden hour for couples portraits! We bounced around the patio and out front for a handful of minutes, grabbing some romantic, natural portraits (my fave part of the day!!)

A Bright and Modern Ozarks Wedding Venue

One of the things that makes Glasshaus stand out among Ozarks wedding venues is its design. The venue blends contemporary architecture with the surrounding landscape, allowing the outdoors to remain part of the celebration.

Large glass windows line the space, filling the ceremony and reception areas with natural light while framing the lake and hills beyond. The layout is spacious and open, creating room for guests to move easily between moments throughout the day.

The clean lines and neutral design also allow each couple to bring their own vision to the space. For this June wedding, the atmosphere felt fresh and summery, with the landscape outside providing most of the color and beauty needed for the day.

A Slow Goodbye on Sunday Morning

One of the advantages of hosting a full wedding weekend at Glasshaus is the chance to extend the celebration just a little longer.

On Sunday morning, guests gathered once again for a farewell brunch before heading home. It offered one final opportunity to share stories from the night before, enjoy a slow morning with friends, and reflect on the weekend together.

Rather than ending abruptly after the reception, the celebration closed in the same relaxed way it began — surrounded by people who had spent the entire weekend together.
